Why is this named 'drawblinky'?

I have been interested in art ever since I can remember. As a young child, I couldn't wait for the weekly TV GUIDE to arrive at out house. You may wonder what importance the TV GUIDE has to someone interested in art...Well, the TV GUIDE back then used to conain an ad by an art correspondence school. In the ad, there was a line drewing of a deer named 'Blinky.' According to the ad, if you drew Blinky and sent in your drawing, the school would evaulate it and tell you if you had a future as an artist. I sent in several drawings,,,and never received an answer. I was devastad and gave up drawing for a long time. A few decades later, after I had beccome a computer geek, I realized that the computer was the medium that matched perfectly my level of skill and my creative interests. So, my interest in art was rekindled. But, it almost ended prematurely because of "Blinky."

My Recent 'Blinky'

Ir still doesn't look like the 'Blinky' in the ad.

The image on the left is an example of my paintings (click on it to see a larger image). In this example, I made the final product look like a pastel. I also create sketches, abstracts, caricatures, animations and wallpaper. Some believe that because I use a computer and software to create my art, it is easily done. I can assure you that nothing is further than the truth. The computer is just a medium and without talent it and the artist fail to create anything that is noteworthy. I have spent years learning the technques to produce images like that one that you see to the left. These creations are hard work and I have spent countless hours practicing, painting, and editing. It can take me up to 40 hours to complete a piece of art depending upon its complexity. To see more examples of my work, click on the links below.
